On April 25, 2025, the Mohyla Open Hackathon "BE FIRST: Future of Innovation, Resilience, Security, Technology" took place — an event that brought together youth, scientists, and business representatives to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
Key directions of the hackathon:
Security and responses to the challenges of a changing world
The European Green Deal and green transformation
Healthcare and quality of life
Sustainable industrial development and mobility
Digital innovation and artificial intelligence
Post-war recovery
Teams of 4–5 participants presented their projects to a jury composed of business professionals and academics. The hackathon showcased the potential of Ukrainian innovative youth to create solutions relevant in a European context.

The event was organized in partnership with Kyiv Academic University and the Bogomolets National Medical University. It was supported by the EdTech Ukraine Association and Symbioz Holding.
The hackathon was implemented as part of an experimental project by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Innovation Development Fund, aimed at creating a network of startup schools–incubators–accelerators based at higher education institutions and research centers.
